Our Team
WestView’s strength is our people. Our team is made up of experienced K-12 educators, learning support workers, and administrative staff who share a deep commitment to every learner in our programs. Small class sizes mean our staff can give each student the attention they need.
Our program support team helps students with social-emotional learning, transitions, and day-to-day needs — making sure every child feels welcome and safe at WestView.
Our educators bring a range of backgrounds and certifications — including Orton-Gillingham, early childhood education, and subject-matter expertise across the K–11 curriculum.
Our administrative team handles registration, scheduling, and communication, making it easy for families to stay connected and informed.

Our Story
WVL Centre Society is a non-profit society that developed from a single parent reaching out to a retired local teacher for learning support for their autistic children through customized curriculum and creative technology integration.
The teacher brought the skills of special needs through gifted instruction, skills developed as the technology curriculum coordinator for the local school district for 10 years, experiences as an Apple Distinguished Educator and serving on Apple Canada’s Voluntary Education Advisory Board, to the task of creating a learning environment for students young and old.
Over the last decade WestView Learning has evolved into WVL Centre Society which now serves diverse learners in the Cowichan Valley, ages 6 to 90+.
